Wine Opening Procedures
I'm stuck in a waiting room in the hospital operating room. I really could use a beer, why not a bar?
My dad has major surgery at this point what I type this … I'm nervous and could really use a drink to calm my nerves … I see there is a Dunkin Donuts and a coffee shop but they do not serve beer or wine. I need a drink and I think it would be a really lucrative venture to apply for a liquor license and open a beer wagon in the room waiting. I think there are many others in the same need to drink I am. I could have a cart that could wheel around the hospital. I could go to the room emergency and serve the families of the victims, which could serve those who recently lost a loved one … let alone to serve people who are in and out of routine procedures. could make millions in this … How do I apply for a liquor license?
As a nurse at a major hospital, who spends a lot time looking after the ravages of alcohol abuse, I think I can answer your question. Most hospitals have cafeterias or machines that provide soft drinks, water, snacks, etc. Can you imagine any hospital providing alcohol to those who wanted it (notice I didn't say necessary). I feel for you because I know you must be very annoying your dad, but please, for your sake, try to get through this without the use of alcohol. I like his attempt to humor, which is a defense mechanism much better. I hope your father recovers and lives a long life. You too.
